Lower Queen Anne does not get all the major glass renovations.
The new headquarters in Expedia will not be opened in Interbay until 2019, but when it does, the travel company hopes to have some great offers on their 5,000 campus campus.
It is especially important to take hectares outdoors and build an amphitheater and playground and a building with large glass walls and 11 foot windows so that employees can benefit from the stunning Elliott Bay view from their waterfront location.
“Our employees spend tens of millions of hours a year, enabling travelers around the world to find their perfect destination,” said Mark Nagle, vice president of the Expedia Group’s global real estate. “We intend to make our new headquarters an ideal workplace target for our employees, a landing location where Expedia Group employees can give their passion for travel and technology to do their very best work.”
The latest design is adapted to Expedias new headquarters, which they announced they would take over from Amgen 201
5. When opened in autumn next year, over 4,500 employees will move from the current Bellevue headquarters to Interbay.
In addition to the external offers on the 40 acre grounds, Expedia plans to have quiet spaces, a training facility, a market hall, which the company says will have a “varied selection of healthy eateries and social gathering venues as well as on-site food stores. ” Many people are worried about how the headquarters change traffic, and while it will not really cover the entire team, Expedia plans to store 400 bikes and a bicycle mechanic in place. They will also offer their employee shuttle services and ORCA transit cards.
And this is only the first phase of Expedia’s planned expansion to Seattle; In the next 15 years, the company is also planning to add more than 700,000 square meters of office space and 630 parking spaces.
