Eagles hurt update: Several players still lack short week

Eagles linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill started Dallas the week with a little smack talk Wednesday afternoon and I loved it.

Here’s what he said to NBC 10:

“Look at Dallass history. They always stink. So we’ll go down and make them stifle.”

I know it might be quite unpopular opinion, but it’s huge.

I love the smack talking. I think the eagles should talk more. I think they should be complete WWE heels and everyone is talking crazy all week. Why not?

So it can end on a bulletin board in Dallas? Who cares?

Do you really think the cowboys have a better shot of winning this game today than yesterday when KGH said it? Never. This is a first-class division in the NFC East between two teams to hate each other. No bulletin board will change it.

Perhaps the comment looks bad if the eagles go down to northern Texas and be slaughtered by the cowboys on Sunday. But the eagles can not even think about that opportunity. They have to go down to North Texas this weekend completely convinced they will hit Cowboys, take over first place in the division and never look back.

There are many reasons why the rest of us really doubt it will happen. But every single person in the nursery should feel so.

They should go down to North Texas this weekend acting as the condemned government’s Super Bowl champions, great du-know-what swingin.

Has a little swagger.

Now Doug Pederson did not seem to like the comment from Grugier-Hill and it can be expected. He has enough on his plate and he needs an appropriate level of decor as head coach for a NFL franchise.

Similarly, Carson Wentz was also not interested in joining Grugier-Hill among the trash bin. He said he has a lot of respect for the cowboys and blah, blah, blah.

But I wonder how many of Grugier-Hills teammates, if you linked them to a light sensor test, would really think the comment was “unfortunate.” Instead, they might actually agree with him. Perhaps they would have some own comments, like earlier this season when Jason Peters called Cowboy’s fans “arrogant”.

Sports is entertainment and hearing what Grugier-Hill said on Wednesday is the most entertained I’ve been all week as we get ready for a crucial rivalry game.

If the cowboys are crazy? Yes Yes. If they send their comment to any missing bulletin board (nobody has bulletin boards anymore, right?), Then it was. Let the cowboys play with too much emotion. Let them work in a foam.

And then go down to northern Texas and hit them. To me it’s the mindset of a team that has its back against the wall. The eagles have always done the best when they think everyone is counting on them.

Then continue adding some fuel to the fire, Eagles, and let’s get us a showdown in Texas on Sunday.
