SANILAC COUNTY – Sanilac County DEA Drug Take Back Day participatory results continue to be useful for removing opioid pills and other medications from being used by individuals for which they were not intended and for preventing their disposal in area water systems. 19659002] The Sheriff’s office was released received 2.5 pounds on the scheduled assembly day on 27 October. A collective pickup total since last April’s run showed Croswell Police to take in 10.2 pounds and Marlette Police got 23 pounds.

Since April 201
8, the working group, together with other police offices in the county, has collected a total of 173.4 pounds unused opioid and other pill form drugs.
The working group will continue to collect unwanted pills all year long. There are drop-out boxes at the sheriff’s office lobby, the lobby of the Croswell Police City Hall, the lobby of the Marlette Police City Hall and the Peck Police Village lobby.
