Coach Adam Gase said that Tannehill (shoulder) could resume light throwing in practice, Safid Deen in the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

The Dolphins have already ruled Tannehill out for a third straight game Thursday against Texans, but it seems that the quarterback at least makes progress in its recovery from right shoulder injury, which is believed to be an AC lead. Tannehill has practiced with the team in a limited manner since he was first terminated to handle the injury, but he is mostly restricted to conditioning work while dolphins have prevented him from throwing. Gas said that Tannehill could use a Nerf ball to limit the stress on the shoulder when he initiated his throwing program, so it seems that the signal caller will require additional healing time before he can throw a regular football without restrictions. Brock Osweiler will draw another start while Tannehill turns his focus into a potential return week 9 against the jets.
