Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana has given racism controversy over a social media campaign that featured a series of Chinese themed videos published on its Instagram account over the weekend showing an Asian model using chopsticks to eat Italian foods.
The company on Wednesday suddenly broke a banana series scheduled for later in the day in Shanghai, apologize and blamed on a hack.

According to an article on the Chinese news site Jing Daily, the video was posted to Weibo, but since the backlash had been fast they have since been deleted. The posts were considered racist by the site because of the model’s stereotype appearance and background decor, which had been marked as outdated. “
