Q. Are cruciferous vegetables really good for fighting cancer?

A. There is no doubt that crustaceans containing broccoli, cauliflower and brussel sprouts as well as roots and dark leafy vegetables like bald and arugula are good for you. They are high in fiber, low calories and rich in nutrients, including vitamins C, E and K, folate and minerals.

Eating them also helps to prevent cancer is a topic of intensive research, “said Vandana R. But studies on humans have been inconsistent. Many studies have not found any link between cross-cell intake and cancer of the prostate, colon and rectum, lung or breast. However, other studies have found that men who ate high crustaceans had lower risk of prostate cancer and that women whose diets were rich in these vegetables had lower risk of breast cancer.
