Diego Luna will star in a new Star Wars series for Disney’s upcoming streaming service. The performance will be a prequel to “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.”
Luna will reproduce her role as rebel spy Cassian Andor, the furious fellow who helped Felicity Jones “Jyn Erso to steal the Death Star plans in the 2016 movie. Given the high mortality rate of the film, a sequel would have been a difficult proposal.
“Going back to the” Star Wars “universe is very special to me, says Luna in a statement.” I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I did during the trip. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us and this new exciting format gives us the chance to explore this character deeper. “
Visan is one of several ambitious series that comes to Disney’s Netflix challenger, as it has dubbed Disney +. As Variety first reported, Disney is developing a number of limited series that are centered on popular characters from Marvel Cinematic Universe (or MCU, as is widely known). These shows may have actors like Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen, who reprint their big screen roles like Loki and Scarlet Witch in programming that debut on streaming service. The company has also knocked on Jon Favreau to write and execute another Star Wars television series titled “The Mandalorian”, centered on a “lone gunfighter” and his adventures in the outermost parts of the galaxy.
