MOUNT BETHEL, Pa. &#821

1; Pennsylvania Department of Health says patients by Dr Palmer Cuttoro of Cuttoro Dental Associates on South Delaware Drive in Mt. Bethel, Northampton County, could have been exposed to HIV or hepatitis B and C.

An investigation found that the office did not properly clean, disinfected or sterilized devices properly, which led to infection risk.

In a statement, PA Secretary of Health Dr Rachel Levine said in part “The inadequate infection control procedures in this practice can pose a risk of injury, so we recommend patients to be tested.”

The department recommends anyone visiting the office between January 1, 2007 and September 14, 2018, to be tested. They say that this includes current and previous patients who had some dental procedures performed at the office.

The health department says that it sent an expired and desistent letter to the dentist at the end of August and that Dr. Cuttoro voluntarily gave up his license. 19659003] The dental office is closed and requests for practice went unanswered. 69 News stopped by the office Tuesday afternoon. The lights were on and it seemed like someone had worked inside, even though nobody came to the door.
