Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) Went with migrants in Tijuana, Mexico, on Saturday and blasted President Trump to create a “humanitarian crisis” at the border.

Jayapal, Deputy Vice President of Congressional Progressive Caucasian, met immigrants seeking asylum in the United States. She told Politico on Friday that Trump “lies about this caravan.”

“He tries to use people seeking asylum and literally driving from death, just for their own political advantage and that’s a shame,” she said to the outlet.

In a video published on Jayapal’s Twitter page, she stated that there must be a way to quickly treat asylum-seeking immigrants and called the situation “a humanitarian crisis by Donald Trump’s creation.”

CRTV host Michelle Malkin told Fox & Friends on Sunday that she is not Surprised that Jayapal went with migrants along the border.

“My question is what office did this woman do?” she asked. “The oath of the Office for these officials obliges them to uphold our laws and our constitution and to protect our citizens first and foremost.”

Malkin added that the problems at the US-Mexico border predicted Trump.

Jayapal also told Politico that when she read reports of tear gas used against immigrants, she could “just not sleep“.

“I want to see what happens, what happens to asylum seekers when they reach the border, how do they go back, what happens to them in between, where the conditions in which they live, “she said.
