Defense Secretary Jim Mattis struck Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday, indicating that he was trying to disturb the United States mid-term in 2018.
Mattis told the Reagan National Defense Forum that there is no doubt that the US and Russia relations have deteriorated over the past two years.
“[Putin] tried again to crush in our election the past month and we are seeing continued effort along these lines,” he added.
“Russia does not speak with a voice,” Mattis continued. “We find that Russia on the surface is trying to make some very deceptive statements. They do not stick, their actions speak higher than words and it has exacerbated the relationship.

His comments come from President Trump’s continued attacks on Robert Mueller Special Council, examining Russia’s interference in the presidential elections in 2016.
“So much happening to it now witch hunt discredited. This total Hoax will be studied for several years! “Trump wrote on Wednesday.
In another tweet, stated:” When will the illegal Joseph McCarthy style Witch Hunt, one who has broken so many innocent lives, ever end or come just going forever? After wasting more than $ 40 million (is it possible?), It has proved only one thing-there was no interaction with Russia. So Delicious! “
