METHUEN, Mass. (AP) – The authorities say that a 63-year-old Massachusetts woman who tried to break up a family camp seems to lead some kind of medical episode and died.
The law firm in the Essex District says the police responded to a Methuen home at about 10 pm Sunday for reports of a fight and a non-responding woman.
The authorities say that Martina Gomez “seemed to suffer from medical distress” during the confrontation.
She was named dead at Lawrence General Hospital at 1
District Attorney said 23-year-old Modesta Gomez was accused of abuse and battery for a person over 60 years old. She is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday. It could not be determined immediately if she had a lawyer.
An autopsy is planned to determine the cause and the way of Martina Gomez’s death.
