Ronaldo gave the old lady the lead with a great strike during the 65th minute, but Bianconeri failed to add Tally and United hit back with two late goals: a free kick from Juan Mata and a separate goal by Alex Sandro.

Per MailOnlines Sam McEvoy said he:

I’ve seen the playback. I did not understand that it was a great goal, but I did a good move and I kicked it strongly.

“I was lucky for the goal but we are a little disappointed that we should have won the game easily, with three or four goals.”

“Manchester, they did not a lot in my o drive. They created two chances [from] set pieces.

“I know the English law, they always look for the set pieces, but we learned from our mistakes and we are still top of the group so we were fine.”

] Both sides had three shots on goal during the game, but in total Juventus had 23 efforts compared to United’s nine.

The Independent Miguel Delaney also noted Juve’s profitability in front of the goal, but he felt United had improved significantly from his previous encounter with the Italian masters:

After Ronaldo broke the deadlock with his sensational volleyball, Miralem Pjanic failed to convert from multiple efforts to goal and Juan Cuadrado blasted over from eight laps like Juventus was driven to kill the game.

Although there would have been another story about Bianconeri was more clinically in the final third, United produced a much better achievement than they did in their 1-0 defeat to Serie A- the giants in October.

Despite the narrow lead in the game at Old Trafford, the golf was in quality something

This was not the case on Wednesday, by ESPN’s Alex Shaw:

Ronaldo may be unhappy with United’s approach, but boss Jose Mourinho thinks his pages are pragmatic, and on Wednesday they came together.

The win puts United in a much stronger position in Group H, as they are second on seven points, two finishing Valencia with only the Spanish side and young boys left.

As for Juve, they are the top of nine points and should be able to stay there. But after scoring only twice in their two matches with United, despite having many chances, there will be some concerns.

If they want to go all the way to the competition this season, they must be able to kill their stronger opponents, otherwise it will be expensive as it did on Wednesday.
