MANDEVILLE, La. – If you have refused to clean up the house, let this serve as an incentive.
Harold and Tina Ehrenberg, a couple from Mandeville, Louisiana, cleaned for Thanksgiving guests when they found a lottery ticket they had bought months earlier. It turned out worth $ 1.8 million.
“We have the family coming into town for Thanksgiving, so I cleaned up the house and found some Lottery tickets on my nightstand that we had not checked,” said Tina Ehrenberg in a statement released by Louisiana Lottery.
It’s good that the couple found the ticket when they did. The drawing was 6 June. It was the only winning ticket.
Had they been waiting for two weeks, they should have got a zipper; The window to claim the price – 180 days – should have closed.
The couple said they could not believe their happiness.
“I called winning number hotline over and over again,” said Tina Ehrenberg. Harold Ehrenberg added: “We continued to check the numbers again and again!”
After tax, the couple returned home $ 1.2 million as they plan to retire.
“We have no plans to buy anything crazy or go on any big trips,” says Tina Ehrenberg.
“The most fun,” adds her husband, “will deposit that check.”
