WASHINGTON – Managing Director of J.Crew Group Inc. rises.
The clothing retailer said in a statement Saturday that the departure to James Brett, a trade veteran who took the best work in 2017, was a mutual agreement between Brett and the company’s board.
In a statement, Brett said that he and the company’s board despite a brand-new brand launch could not overcome our beliefs about continuing to develop all aspects of the company. “
The company said that Brett’s responsibility will be assumed by four senior J.Crew executives, including Michael Nicholson, the company president and chief operating officer.
“Return J.Crew to his iconic status demanded to invent the brand to reflect America of t’day with a more expansive, more inclusive fashion concept,” said Brett in his statement.
In his statement, the company said that Brett had renewed energy for J.Crew and had “enhanced our ability to relate to a wide range of consumers. “
