Welcome to NFL’s silly season where rumors – driven by sources (some with agendas, some without) – are steep, and Browns are in the midst of many as the manipulation window and new league year method.

Brown’s general manager John Dorsey is open to business.

It’s the worst kept secret in the league. In fact, it is uneven to even refer to the word secret. It is not.

Dorsey is aggressive in nature and he is not afraid to make a splash and it is small to suggest he will get conservative this offseason.

He has done over 1

4 industries since he took over in December 2017 in retraining what was once a flawless roster who could not turn anyone into a collapsible soccer team in 2018. Now he looks to take the next step this offseason and turn his lot Improved roster to a legitimate competitor for 2019.

The need is obvious – defensive tackle, linebacker, corner, security and recipient.

It is reasonable to expect that Dorsey will fill one if not many of them need when the manipulation period opens Monday and the free agency opens Wednesday at 16.00

Back to rumors mill and how it works with Dorsey.

The first thing you need to know about Dorsey is that he holds his cards near his chest and does not tip his hand. He doesn’t like when others give their hand to him. He likes to keep his building airtight when it comes to legitimate information about his plans.

Fall last year, at the beginning of the new league year, Dorsey did not perform one, not two, but three deals were unknown to all, but involved parties landing Brown’s Bill’s quarterback Tyrod Taylor, Packer’s cornerback / security Damarious Randall and Dolphins recipient Jarvis Landry.

Landry’s and Randall’s names never touched the reputation of the Browns while Taylor had joined Cleveland in rumors of a few years ahead of Dorsey’s reign as GM.

The same applies to several players that Dorsey signed early in free agency 2018.

Then came the draft.

While Dorsey’s interest in Baker Mayfield was well known, the Mayfield news was No. 1 kept quiet until a few hours before the draft began. It has since been revealed that Dorsey wanted Mayfield all the time.

With Dorsey, loose lips, sink ships.

It is true that Dorsey and Giant General Manager Dave Gettleman have spoken.

They were caught on Sunday in Indianapolis by NFL Network Cameras, but over the past two weeks, Dorsey has spoken to many GM and agents about business and free agencies.

The feeling is that something big brews with Browns. Several names have been tied to them.

But for all conversations about Beckham, they could have given Dorsey some cover – make people see a way while working in a completely different direction – laying the groundwork for what he intends to resign next week.

As Beckham suggested on his Instagram account Thursday evening in yet another cryptic message from the 26-year-old recipient, “stay tuned”.
