Accessing Google Chrome’s search history for Android will soon be much easier . Since XDA-Developers have discovered an interesting change in the Chromium repository, related to the way to access the web pages visited in the version of the browser for Android
Apparently, one of the last commits made in the Chromium repository, suggests the possibility of access the search history of the browser through a long press on the button “back” of the Android device in question.
So far, the only way to access the search history of Google Chrome, is to do so from the options menu of the application, located in the top right. However, future versions of the application will have an experimental setting or flag , that according to your description allows to perform “a long press on the back button to show the browsing history” .
At the moment, this option is not available in any of the four variants of Google Chrome for Android , and it is unknown how the history will be displayed. It is possible that it is a simple direct access to the history menu that we all know , or a new system for Quickly access the last web pages visited through a floating window , in the same way as in the desktop version of Chrome, where it is possible to access a brief history by making a long press on the “back” button of the browser.
It is very likely that, in the next versions of the editions Dev Y Canary of Google Chrome for Android, new clues begin to appear about this feature, and that can soon be enabled through one of the browser’s experimental options . At the moment, this is all we know about the new way to access the history of Google Chrome on Android.
