Brightburn: Having superpowers doesn't always make you a good guy

We can consider James Gunn's upcoming DC movie, a Suicide Squad sequel / reboot of his next superhero project, but the truth is he's already finished work on another superhero movie, Brightburn, which he created with his brother Brian and cousin Mark. This time, although Gunn does not target the film, he has instead submitted this information to David Yarovesky, which he collaborated with for the Guardians of the Galaxy Inferno music video. Don't expect a continuation of the fun, fast-paced humor or 80's musical age from this movie but have Brightburn in a completely different direction and explore the dark side of a person with superpowers and the incredible damage they can achieve. With joy from Superman, Brightburn follows the story of a young couple (Elizabeth Banks and David Denman), a childless couple who finds a young boy (Jackson A. Dunn) in a foreign craft who has crashed on his property. Unlike Superman, this young boy has a difficult time fitting into society and engaging in his superpowers and becoming an overweight instead. Movies that focus on children with dark forces, like The Omen or the latest The Prodigy, are not always good, so hopefully this movie can break that trend. Brightburn is scheduled to be released on May 24, th this year after it was delayed from its original November 2018 release date after Gunn’s outbreak of Disney was released after a series of old offensive tweets came to the surface. It seems that the world has since forgotten Gunn and is ready to embrace him again, which is great for the success of this film.
