The smaller Chinese manufacturers are finding it increasingly difficult to compete with the big brands, as they are increasingly refining their medium and low ranges, something that did not happen a few years ago and that makes manufacturers like Bluboo have to look for very specific characteristics to find your niche market.
In this case, we focus on the Bluboo S3 , a device that manages to stand out thanks to a more than generous battery of 8500 mAh.
But unlike what we were used to not too long ago, the Bluboo S3 is not a low-end terminal for very basic users, but with a price that does not exceed 150 euros , is able to combine a fairly solvent mid-range hardware with a good design. Let’s see what to expect from Bluboo’s latest.
The Bluboo S3 is postulated as a very interesting proposal to devour multimedia content, since it has 6 inches in 18: 9 format that also throw a FUll-HD + resolution from 2160x 1080 pixels ; something quite remarkable in this price range and that only brands like Xiaomi usually offer.
The terminal does not look particularly rough despite its autonomy, and that is that its elongated format and screen ratio of 91% They make the Bluboo S3 quite restrained. Of course, we have to forget about noble materials such as aluminum and glass, because in return we have a rough texture of polycarbonate with a pyramid pattern focused on improving grip.
For now we do not have specific data on the weight or the total thickness, but we intuit that they will be somewhat high, which is understood given the capacity of the battery.
We have already told you that we are not dealing with an excessively basic terminal, and that is that we have a SoC Mediatek 6750 of 8 cores to 1.5 GHz that enables us to use medium / high and even allows to play fairly demanding games. This processor is also accompanied by a very remarkable amount of memory, since we have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage , what has been said, nothing disdainful. If we need more space, we can use a Micro-SD up to 256 GB extra.
As we have said, we have 8500 mAh battery , which allows us up to 6 days of normal use, and that according to the manufacturer, it can be used as a powerbank thanks to the type C (OTG) cable included in the package. By the way, we will need 2.5 hours to charge this battery thanks to a fast charging system.
Bluboo joins his S3 in the fashion of dual cameras, and offers us two sensors of 21 MP (Samsung) and 5 MP (for depth effects and portrait mode). On the other hand, in the front we have another Samsung sensor with some remarkable 13 MP , although we do not know specific models as well as the other technical characteristics of these sensors.
As interesting extras we have a fingerprint sensor that will allow electronic payments through a future update and a system of facial recognition that will also come later. And is that the Bluboo S3 arrives from the factory with Android Nougat , but its creators promise a update to Android Oreo 8.1 at some point yet to be determined.
Other interesting extras are the presence of a NFC chip and a port of type C, yes, we have to forget to use our old headphones unless we buy an adapter, since the Bluboo S3 is aimed at the fashion of the terminals without 3.5 mm jack
The Bluboo S3 reaches the market at a price of 179.99 dollars (about 145 euros) , although the first 3000 units can be purchased at $ 150 (about 122 euros).
