Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has issued a patch to address a variety of stability errors and fix any crashes. In the announcement, Treyarch also raised complaints about network performance and promised to continue working on it forward, as it passed the introductory launch day.
According to patch notes, the update on October 21 fixes a crash that affected Master Prestige players in multiplayer and zombie mode, and future updates should address some related user interfaces. It also takes a crash when creating a Shield with Frugal Fetish Equipped in Zombies. Other issues include the shield that is not displayed correctly in Blood of the Dead, objects that are not displayed correctly in the Stash list of Blackout fixes an error that caused the Collapse circle to appear invisible and other different issues. It also promised a series of updates aimed at network performance in the next few weeks.
“We are constantly working to optimize the game, and especially network performance, to ensure the highest quality online experience for our players,” the notes read. “For a game launch with such a large population that we hit so many global servers at once, we configure our infrastructure to ensure game stability as top priority over all other factors.”
“Now that we pass the first launch of the game, we focus on fine-tuning network performance around the world using the real data we collected. Over the next two weeks, we will roll out several updates to our network installation as continues to improve our players’ experience since the start. As we have always said, launch is just the beginning and we are determined to make Black Ops 4 the best supported game we have ever delivered. “
