The crash took place shortly after. 6:00 local time (5:00 GMT), which resulted in 44 people injured.
The train, which transported about 150 passengers, spread between the cities Terrassa and Manresa when it traveled to Barcelona. Two of the train wagons came from the traces of the horror crash caused by a landslide.
Rescue workers shaved to the scene to relieve passengers aboard the train after the event.
14 firefighters and 11 ambulances participated in the scene with police and civil protection personnel.
Pictures and videos show the wreckage of the train, with wagons sitting at an angle on the tracks when passengers were evacuated.
A spokesman said: “The train service has been interrupted between Terrassa and Manresa due to a landslide that has caused a train to trace.”
In recent days there has been a great deal of rain in northern Spain that triggers floods and landslide.
Commuters were invited to avoid the area and find alternative roads.
In an earlier update, Civil Protection Spokesman Montse Font said: “I can confirm that a person has died and that 32 people are evaluated to determine their situation.”
Six of these people have suffered minor injuries, but the rest are still evaluated.
“Five out of six have already been taken to hospital near the accident.”
“The person who has died was a passenger.”
A spokesman for civil protection said on Twitter: “One person and death and six light injuries (one more than in the previous news alert).”
“There were about 1
50 people aboard the train. ”
In 2013, 79 people were killed and about 140 were injured when a train from Madrid to North West Spain came from the traces, which was the country’s worst trawler for decades.
