How it happened : This one was never in doubt. Indiana, desperately in need of a victory to keep his NCAA tournament chances live dominated Illini throughout. Hoosiers led as many as 22 as Illinois could not force any sales or it could keep the IU out of the lanes. 6-14 this season and 7-12 in the Big Ten player, sets up Hoosiers for a chance at a four-win stretch and significant momentum in next week’s Big Ten tournament in Chicago.  Standout performers : Phinisee was great when he logged 32 minutes and ended with 17 points, five assists and no sales. Juwan Morgan made one team a maximum of 20 points to lead Indiana.
