Apple Inc. conducted a survey in May of possible business breaches in its supply chain, including any resettlement and bribery to employees of suppliers, who ruled some of the suppliers and employees of the technical suppliers, as they focused on producing the company’s newest devices.

In response to The Wall Street Journal questions, an Apple

spokesman said that the company found no evidence of bribes or backbacks, but refused to disclose what led to the investigation or its results.

Apple asked with at least one provider about possible kickbacks to Apple employees, according to people familiar with the probe.
