Xiaomi herselfwhat many of us were waiting for: on the occasion of its eighth anniversary, next May 31 we will meet the Xiaomi Mi 8 , the next flagship that arrives to commemorate these eight years of life of the company as a manufacturer of electronic devices.
Beyond knowing that the terminal will have the best of the best inside, and that the top of your screen will be occupied by a ‘notch’, the truth is that not much is known about the new Beijing giant. However, as the days go by, new details about the Mi 8 are coming to light , and today is one of those days.
The video about these lines, published in the, shows what appears to be the brand’s next flagship phone, in a “transparent” finish similar to what we have seen in models of other brands such as the HTC U11 +, or the new U12 + that will be released in a few minutes.
This finish, allows to see thanks to a glass panel the components of the device, such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor , which has been added the logo of the brand in full color to highlight even more, or the battery with the logo of ‘My’. Another detail that we can confirm thanks to this video, is the absence of a rear fingerprint reader, as well as the inclusion of a dual photographic system in vertical arrangement. And yes, it looks a lot like Apple’s iPhone X, but what phone does not look like at this point?
The video also allows us to take a look at other details of the design, such as the red power button , detail that firms like Huawei or Google have adopted in some of its star terminals. For the rest, we see again the famous ‘notch’ at the top of the screen, which thanks to its reduced margins occupies almost the entire front.
Taking advantage of the launch of the Mi 8, as well as the rest of the products that the firm has prepared, Xiaomi will also announce MIUI 10 , the next big update of the operating system of the brand based on Android. In the promotional poster, you can read the motto like lightning , with which it is to be assumed that the new version of MIUI is intended to improve the performance of the devices rather than adding new functions.
Both the Mi 8, as a possible Mi 7 something less special than the model of the eighth anniversary, and the activity bracelet My Band 3 , are the products that we hope to see at the Shenzhen event that will be held on May 31st. It is very likely, however, that Xiaomi has some surprise prepared to celebrate her most important birthday to date.
