Amanda Knox, whose legal drama seized the world after being accused of murder in Italy, is engaged to her long boyfriend.
Knox and her engaged Christopher Robinson have dated for three years and announced their commitment to a video published on social media Friday.
The proposal took place in Seattle and contained a strange theme. It begins with Knox going outside after she hears strange sounds and sees what it looks like a meteorite of blue light that shines in the back yard.
Because Knox laughs nervously and asks what’s happening, she finds a tablet with an overview of her love story.
“I had thought about this, but it has already happened in the future,” says Robinson in the video. “It’s happening now. I have no ring, but I have a big rock. Will you stay with me until the last star of the last galaxy burns out and after that?” Amanda Marie Knox, will you marry me? “
She says yes, and they kiss that futuristic sci-fi music plays in the background.
The couple met when Knox reviewed Robinson’s novel for a local newspaper. Their commitment comes a decade after Knox was accused of killing his British mate, Meredith Kercher 2007, while studying abroad in Perugia, Italy.
Knox and her then boyfriend, Italian Raffaele Sollecito, were found guilty of murder. Both Sollecito and Knox were convicted in 2009 and sentenced to long prison terms.
They spend about four years in Italian prisons, but an appeals court issued their convictions in October 201
1, referring to lack of evidence against them and both were released.
