You know it’s a big game when there are two camera groups in the Raptors locker room’s pregame, hoping they might get some useful b-roll. Raptor’s internal crew was there, as usual, but it was TNT’s. Between Thursday’s national non-competitor league match against Warrior and next Wednesday’s all-day access on ESPN, the Raptors really look at the next level in the NBA.
Unfortunately, Raptor’s locker room was typically fate, or at least close to it, as it usually is before play. Warriors, Hawks or any team in between, the Raptors do not usually hang out on their stalls at home. Only Greg Monroe sat when he saw TNT turn his camera to him.
“Oh, I’m not worried about that camera,” said Monroe, the rarely used third string center. “They do not know what team I am. They do not need me.”
That’s when Danny Green, a real appetizer, entered the room.
