Update: Joe Perry’s press representatives, MSO, have issued a statement about the guitarist’s condition. It reads: “After a guest performance during Billy Joel’s show last night at Madison Square Garden, Joe Perry experienced breathlessness and was treated by paramedics who gave the guitar an acid and used a trachea tube to clear his airway before taking him to a hospital Perry is still in the hospital where he is attentive and responsive. The aerosmith guitarist will not be able to see him today at the Rock And Roll Fantasy Camp in Florida and apologize for those involved. Perry is expected to return to the road later this month
TMZ reports that Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry was rushed to a hospital after his guest appearance at Billy Joel’s Madison Square Garden concert last night 10).
Their report claims that Perry performed “Walk This Way” and collapsed when he returned to his dressing room. Paramedics arrived and claimed to work on legendary musicians for 40 minutes, intuberate his trachea. He was eventually rolled out of the place on a stretcher and transported to a nearby hospital. His current state remains unknown.
In 2016, Perry collapsed on stage during a Hollywood Vampire show. Although it was originally reported that he suffered from cardiac arrest, later it was discovered that a combination of “dehydration and fatigue” that leads to his unstable condition.
