Update, December 4, 2018 (02:25 ET): turns out that the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus leaks out yesterday by @OnLeaks was wrong. We now have new renders from the same source. Check them out below:
Neither @ OnLeaks or 91Mobiles announced a reason why they leaked yesterday were incorrect.
The biggest difference between today’s renders and the old wrong causes is that there are now four cameras at the back of the device. Yesterday’s renders only had a triple-lens setup.
Due to the addition of the extra sensor, the forms of the flash and the sensors are a bit different as well. However, this is not so noticeable. You will also notice that even in these new renders the headphone jack is still on the bottom.
Continue reading yesterday’s article to learn more about yesterday’s renders but keep in mind that these new ones now replace the pictures and YouTube video below.
Original article, December 3, 2018 (7:00 ET): We have had a lot of Galaxy S10 leaks in the second half of 2018, covering the camera’s details, model line and much more. But we have not really had a good idea of what Samsung’s flagship phone will look like.
Now, 91Mobiles and OnLeaks have delivered lots of gerars which certainly reveal the forthcoming flagship in all their glory. The new leak covers the Galaxy S10 Plus, which is expected to be bigger (of course) than the standard Galaxy S10. Apart from the pictures, we also get a 360 degree video (see above) to give us a better idea of the supermodel 2019.
The leak actually shows a triple camera setting behind, with all three cameras arranged horizontally. We also see a flash and what is probably the heart rate sensor next to the cameras.
Unlike Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9, we do not see a rear fingerprint scanner here. There is also no visible scanner on the front, because Samsung apparently has gone for an ultrasonic sensor for fingerprint sensor, according to the publication. This differs from current in-display sensors on the market using ultrasound sound waves to verify fingerprints.
The Galaxy S10 Plus speaks with the front with two selfie cameras in a display hole or camera cut, rather than in a slot. So it really looks like you get five cameras – if the other selfie camera is not actually related to face recognition. Given face recognition, it is assumed that the new phone will dig the iris scanner for a face-lock solution.
Look at the bottom of the phone and you’ll find a speaker gauge, USB Type C port and (yes!) A headphone jack. So it seems preliminary that Samsung does not jump on the controversial trend yet. For other design choices, we have the power and volume tabs on the right and the Bixby key on the left. We also see a Huawei style gradient color scheme on one of the models – hopefully, we’ll see more color options at launch.
