MIDVALE, Utah – One person is dead and another is in storage for a shooting in Midvale Sunday night.

According to UPD officials, the shot occurred near 7600 S. Center Square.

According to that. Robert Ungricht with the Salt Lake City Police Department, around 6:56 AM, received two calls to a residential building in the area. The first call came in as a domestic disorder, the second call came in as a shot fired, said Ungricht.

A victim was taken to an area hospital where they died, Ungricht said. A suspect was taken prison after the incident.

Ungricht said there was no immediate threat to society.

One of the people involved in the case was related to a unified Police Department employed, Ungricht said. As a result, the police department of Salt Lake City took over the investigation.

The victim’s name and suspected in the incident were not released by the police in this report.
