A 61-year-old Indian originator in the United States has been killed by a youth boy in a suspected robbery and carjacking incident in New Jersey, prosecutor said.

Sunil Edla was killed by 16-year-old suspects on November 15 in the evening outside his apartment in Ventnor City, said the prosecuting authority in Atlantic County, Damon Tyner, in a statement.

Police Department of Ventnor was informed about shooting on November 15th. The police are Edla on the sidewalk, with a shot injury. Edla had succumbed to his injuries when the police arrived.

Edlas vehicle, a 2002 Subaru Forester, was missing from the stage. The vehicle was later found by Atlantic City Police Officers in another area. After the vehicle was located by the officers, the suspect was tracked using the Atlantic City Monitoring Center.

Further investigation by the Atlantic Prosecutor’s Office, the Ventnor City Police Department and the Police Department of Atlantic City led to the identification and arrest of the suspect, a young male, on the morning of November 1


Preliminary autopsy showed that the cause of death was multiple shot injuries and the method of killing murder.

The suspect was charged via Juvenile Complaint with Juvenile Complaint murder, robbery, carjacking, illegal possession of a gun. He is held at the Juvenile Detention Center in Egg Harbor City.

“I’m just speechless right now. They could have just taken the car and let him go,” said Edla son Morrison Edla in a report in .

A report in the press of the Atlantic City said Edla, a father of two and grandfather, was a 30-year-old resident in Atlantic County and worked in the Atlantic City hospitality industry. He planned to travel to India to visit the family.

“He [Edla] was humble. He never argued. I helped him when he came to the United States in 1987. I was very close to him, said his cousin Raj Casula.

“Everyone rang him and talked to him for leaving India soon,” said Mr. Casula. Edla had planned a two-month trip to India to visit her mother for her 95th birthday and celebrate Christmas with her family.

The family friend Dave Nethagani said that Edla was a kind man and active in society. Edla was most famous for playing the piano under church services at the Chelsea Community Presbyterian Church in Atlantic City.

A neighbor said that the murderer trampled Edla and killed him just after his grandfather had taken a child in his house. Monitoring video showed teens riding up to Edla’s home. The boy released his bike and hid when he waited for Edla to leave the house.

Just before 8 o’clock On Thursday, family members said that Edla left home to work overnight at the North Carolina Avenue Rodeway Inn in Atlantic City. According to the family he started his car and then went shortly in the house. After going down the stairs of the second floor, he shot on the sidewalk and left to be dead.

Ventnor police chief Doug Biagi said that an official has been posted in the neighborhood “just to make somebody’s fear”. [19659016] (function (d, s, id) {
