Rubella, also known as German Measles, is spread through rubella virus. Experts say that if a pregnant woman is infected with rubella virus, it can lead to miscarriage or severe birth rate.
An official had previously said, “Rubella and measles have common characteristics such as rash and fever. But both are different. While measles cases have fallen and only two confirmed cases were reported in 2017 at the state hospital in the district, we have no data available for rubella , because it was not diagnosed. But the possibilities are there, so the vaccination for rubella will be administered for the first time together with measles. “
