The body of two adults and two children was found in a New Jersey house fire investigated as a fire place, officials said Tuesday.

A body, that of a man found on the front of the home in Colts Neck, police said during a press conference Tuesday afternoon. The bodies of the other adult and two children were found to be burnt inside, and the physician’s office is currently working to identify them, allowing the police.

Firemen responded to a fire at a mansion on Willow Brook Road in Colts Neck around 1:30 AM, reported ABC-owned station WABC.

The prosecutor’s office is investigating this fire along with another fire at 27 Tilton Drive in Ocean Township, which occurred at 5:20 this morning, officials told ABC News.

The home of Ocean Township is owned by a relative of the registered owner of the house in Colts Neck, said the authorities.

Prosecutor’s Office refused to comment on whether the two fires were connected but said it was “something we are investigating”.

Both fires seem suspicious, according to the authorities.
